Will an stock 06 silencer fit a 05?

I have been told the sub frame is different. Any input would be great, thanks

They are different,never tried to bolt one up but I would say no it wont fit ..

YES IT WILL, HOWEVER THE OPENING FROM THE PIPE IS A DIFFERENT SIZE. YOU CAN MAKE AN ADAPTER TO ACCOMODATE THIS.

What about the head pipe from a 06, will it fit a 05?
Can the whole exhaust assy (head pipe & sil.) be switched over?

no. The 06/07 motor was moved foward.

The answer to your question is NO. A silencer from an 06 will not fit an 05. Reason being... the head pipes are a different length keeping the two mismatched pipe parts from fitting together properly. However, I do know for a fact that most full systems will fit either years. I personally have an 06 HRC head pipe with an 06 HMF slip on installed on my 05 R and did nothing more than Just bolt it on. It works I swear!
