i started racing late into this last season and did 3 or 4 hare scrambles, and really enjoyed it, id like to do one or two of them a year. what i really want to do though is motocross.im in the process of completly rebuiliding my 400 and setting it up mostly for that.my question is if i get the plus 2 a-arms do you think itd be at all possible for me to still run a XC race witht hem or no way?
also i live about 5 minutes from the unadilla track in new york and im trying to find a series for motocross and some tracks around me ot practice at. if any one could help me id aprreciate it a lot.

You can still run XC with that setup but it will be tighter in the woods, but you could still run it.

I have +2's and can pound the woods.
Once used to it, you'll have no problem IMO. :)

dont know about the xc tracks by your place but in my races there is no way to run +2 arms, it is hard to run +1. Just keep your stockers and switch when you do xc.

get you a set of Neg 1" rims for the front. Then when you get ready to run XC you hust change front tires and move your hubs in..... :D

You can run +2 arms. But you shocks are whats going to mess you up. Beacause having them set up for MX really dosn't help you to much with XC.

Ehhh, it's the first set of trees that he comes to that are 46 inches apart that is going to mess him up:p

He'll make it... +2 aren't to wide for the woods.

i use my 06 450ER XC machine as my back up MX machine, only thing i really noticed is the axis suspension is great for XC but way to soft for MX

i run +1 a-arms with 3/2 rims in the gncc (pretty much the same as a +2 with a 4/1 rim) and prefer that over the 4/1 on the same a-arms

you will need to have 2 sets of tires anyway.

just mount the XC tires on 4/1 front rims and the MX tires on 3/2 front rims...

an adjustable axle is also very useful for switching between MX and XC set-ups

yeh i do plan on gettign a adjustable axle, its on the list of things. i might try out the atlanticgrand prix races instead of harescrambles because they look like there still based in the woods but with 10 foot wide trails if im not mistkaken? ive never seen one of the AGP races so if any one has seen or been in one could you tell me a little about them please

i went to 2 of them both fairly wide. Dale runs a good series too, it is gonna pick up in popularity

also unadilla is a fairly wide xc track as well when it rolls around next year

yeh i dont really remember unadilla being to wide but that could possibly be because it was so muddy that i was slidding all aroudn and that pry made it feel different.. whats the series u were talking about. you said dale has one?

dale runs the Atlantic Grand Prix (AGP) series.

there are definately tighter XC courses out there than unadilla,
