My brothers slide pin in his front left brake caliper is frozen. It will not come out, we tried everything. Has this ever happened to anyone before? What did you do?

It's number 11

All three of mine were frozen, like, solid.

soak the pin in WD-40 and let it soak. After a while (an hour or a few beers), work the pin out, then back in, very small incriments at a time. It will eventually come out...

SIL-GLIDE that sucker.

yea im the owner of the caliper in question. soaking it in wd40 all night helped it to move all the way toward the inside of the caliper, but as far as unscrewing it to take off the bracket.. impossible. now its even more impossible since i stripped the allen head side. ebay here i come!

Does the slide pin allow the caliper to slide or float back and forth between the rotor? I think this might be my problem also... (http://www.exriders.com/vbb/showthread.php?s=&postid=2752684)
