Raced a stock Z-400 Last Weekend.

I dragged raced a Z-400 last weekend. Three out of four times I won. I was impressed with the power the Z-400 has in stock form. With two different riders on the Z400, I was never able to get more than one quad length ahead of em. The time I was beat, I never drifted below his footpegs.

The conditions of the drag race were the following;.... On pavement, slightly down hill for approx. 150-200 yards...it was long enough that my quad could just top out in fifth. Oh, and I also had my Stock CDI in place.

Anyone else get a chance to drag with a Z400? Tell us.

yeah i drag raced one with a yosh full system and K&n air filter.I beat it 3 out off 5 times.where we raced at was a flat grass feild
about 600yds.Like red said very impressive power I only had about a half a quad length on him at all times.And all it had was 2 things

I have 2 buddies with Z400's now.

One of them has the full FMF powerbomb, and exhaust (powercore4 or something), K&N filter, and Dynojet kit.

That modded Z, a stock Raptor and my 440 raced on pavement. After the holeshot, (which I got just because i'm use to them more) all 3 bikes where neck and neck.

I was really impressed with how well that Z took to a few mods.

When I rode it it didnt feel nearly as powerfull as my bike, but on pavement or hardpack dirt the bikes are very close in speed.

At the sand dunes it was a little different story, it must be the torque kicking in, because I would beat that same Z by 2-3 quad lengths in a drag race.

Over all that quad is bad arse, If nothing comes out better in the next 1-2 years. I'll be trying to get the Kawasaki version.

Hey dude I raced a 425 Z the other day...it had a full FMF and a wb cam elka's FCR carb and I beat it then I turned around got on his quad and he got on mine and he beat me with mine....so we did that and 8 out of ten times my quad one with me and 7 out of ten with him.....Z 400's are not all that......and there hype is nutts....the guy who raced me was a good friend and wishes he would have kept his 400ex

last weekend i watched a 400ex with fmf pipe and a z400 with the baffles taken out of the pipe drag and the frist time the z won but the other 2 times the ex won and ya i know the ex was piped but taking the baffles adds power to
