Could a 87-86 year swingarm work on a 88-89 frame without any modifications to the frame at all?

I want to buy this laegers frame, pretty cheap but its a 88 and all my parts are for a 87. Could you just cut the bottom tabs off of the motor mount like in the picture? And would it just be fine? Also would stock 87 a arms work on this and bumper?

Thanks

All that stuff will work fine. But why would you want the longer 87 swingarm? Instead of cutting the motor mount, just get a piece of moly tube cut to the right length.

why dont you just cut both of those tabs off the mount and leave the center sleeve part to fit in the swingarm and leave it at that? you wont have to add another frame mount on the linkage mount. the only reason you have to add a mount there is whenever your using a 86-87 frame with a 88-89 swingarm, these frames dont have the rear crossmember with the mount on it
