is the Clymer (sp?) atv manual for the 400ex a good manual? i need it because i blew the head gasket on my 400ex. my dad and i wanna see a blown up image of the top end to see what to take off etc..

After purchasing one, I consider it a necessity for any EX owner. It will show you step by step about any procedure to disassemble and assemble your quad.

i went with the clymer and i wouldnt go with any other. ive see a dealership manual and they dont go as detailed as the clymer. the dealership ones (honda) have less pics and its not as step by step as the clymers.

I have them both.. they both have there advantages.. get the best of both worlds and buy them both if you are doing most of the work yourself..

...plus, where the dealer one would say "with tool # 5673A, pull the left stud from the retainer clip....", the clymers is like, "screw two scrap peices of wood together as pictured, and use it to tap the retainer clip off..." Hooray BARGAIN BASEMENT POWERSPORTING repair taken at a professional mechanic level! It's the most valueble manual you can get.

yeah, i bought it friday. it helped alot.

definatly the best manual i have ever read
