Just take some easy rides, stay around 1/4th throttle for like 15 minutes. Shut it off, cool it down. Go back out and proceed to 1/2 throttle for about 15 minutes, shut it off and let it cool. Take it out again and proceed to 3/4th throttle for 20 minutes. cool down then go bak out and have fun!

Don't let the RPM's go under 3000, and run nonsynthetic oils during break-in. It takes 30 minutes to break-in.

no, your completely wrong.

dont listen to that guy.

do what the hotcam instructions say. start it up and ride for 30 mins, NEVER in that 30 mins let the engine dip below 3000rpm

yes dont go under 3000 rpm.. you should check out the website.. they have it on there site..

i know its something like ride for 20-30 mins.. then let it cool down.. then do the same thine for about 30-40 mins.. or something like that..

But check the website for the complete instructions.. also dont run synthetic(synth is so slippery that it wont allow the cam to break in properly).. you can put a mixture of white lithuim grease and 10w30 on the cam to help break it in..

Like how much throttle is 3000 rmp's? and how do you not let it go below that?? like you cann't let it idle?

If the Rs drop below 3000 it won't be the end of the world. Just don't do it intentionally and don't let it happen for more than a few seconds at a time. Turn the idle up, if you must.

also.. try not to put any stress on the engine.. no big uphills.. basically.. you'll probably want to take it on a nice long road..

If you mean just leaving it in neutral and letting it run for 30 minutes it will over heat. When i broke mine in i just rode it at a higher RPM and its doing fine.

That's what I did, I turned the idle super high and put a few fans near my bike.
