Please help me out - I am getting a rear swingarm skid plate to protect my chain/sprocket/rotor/swingarm for my 03 400ex. Which one, if any difference, would be the best out of all these. I am looking for cheaper, I was thinking the UM one, any difference? Is it worth the extra money?

Any other opinions? How does the Armadillo one sound?

I have been using an Armadillo skid plate and have hit just about anything you can hit and it has held up very well for me. After about 3 years I finally wore it out and got another one. I have never been able to bend it yet.

When you get a new skid plate, make sure it has the plastic that the chain rides on. I have an aftermarket plate and my chain bangs the crap out of it. I tried screwing some plastic(for the bottom area of wall that protects from water leakage) and it came off after a few rides. The scews ends sticking out of the bottom would spark on rocks! I will try to find some thicker plastic and use a different type of application. Good luck!

OK, Thanks, I will see when I get it. I still got the stock plastic, but it is pretty banged up.

the armadillo will have a nice thick piece of plastice to protect the chain from the skid

PRM's are pretty thick, and they cover alot of the swing arm.
