Right now I have an HMF sport series slip on. I have a 165 main and a 48 pilot in. I want to take my airbox lid off. What jetting changes will I need to do? Also, I was looking into an aftermarket air filter. I just want one that is the easiest to clean. Any recommendations? THANKS

These jetting specs are for your 2004 450R. He has a 2006 450R, jetting the two is completely different, as a 2006 has a completely different carburetor than a 2004 or 2005.
I would say the highest you could end up going with that pipe, is a 175 main. Start there, and work your way DOWN on the main jet until it feels the best at the seat of your pants :).

You should be fine with what you have in there right now !!! Put a 55 leak jet in that will get rid of your low end bog
I almost forgot where do you live ? That makes a Diff...

you should be at a 165 / 170 with the lid removed.
a 165 with the lid on is flooding it. not enough air for that big of a main jet
