Okay, I am confused. I have heard some people run a different type of oil in the case than the oil tank. For instance: conventional oil in the crankcase and synthetic with moly in the oil oil tank. I know you would not want a moly additive to get on the clutch plates. Doesn't the oil tank and crankcase oil end up mixing together anyway or do they run through completely different oil lines and never contact?

Thanks

the YFZ has only one oil system, they are probably talking about a 450r or some other bike

that is correct! i run synthetic in both sides of my 450r though.....so it is possible to run synthetic. i run maxima ultra. in the yfz i am not sure yet. i think i am going to run rotella synthetic. neither of these have moly in them, but both are synthetics. the maxima is a lot more expensive though.
