i dont know if i need to mix allitle 93 octane with my 110 octane

i have a high compression engine and need high octane so i dont think i run it pure 110 do i ?

could someone please tell me if that is what to do i am in a bind cause the race is this sunday

thanks 330exman

what is your compression level at right now?

The only thing it will hurt is your pocketbook! Run it pure for racing and be safe.

thats what Id say too..just be safe..

But it depends on how high your compression is. ask the shop that built the engine for you. and if you did it. then ask some people around here, but you gotta tell them your compression ratio

compression is 13:1

im running a 13:1 on 94 and im going fine. but yea run strait race fule( gotta love that smell:D :D ). but like they said the only thing it will hurt it your wallet and thats it. you can never have too much octain but you can have unnessairy(sp?) octain....i think lol...later...

well, with the 330 being air cooled, I say run it for the cooler temps.

BUT the motor wil be running richer then on 93 octane.

so your cooling abaility of race gas might not be worth it consdiering you may lose power form running to rich.....(unless you jet for it)

If it's truly 13:1 he better be running race gas..

The gas may be expensive, but it's cheaper than rebuilding the motor..

I would bet the motor would have fairly severe pre-detonation problems running pump gas..

so is the stroked with a 13:1 piston or are you taking into consideration that stroking a motor=higher compression also? I personally think you should be running strait race gas or maybe 1/4 92 or 94. Try to find a compression and octane chart on what octane you can run with 13:1 compression or higher if you arn't taking into consideration that its stroked.

395 stroker should answer the question of straight racing fuel
