i ran an armadillo on my 300ex(was still on after 5 years when i sold the bike, and never bent into the rotor or sprocket at all) and the 400ex(still on there after 2 years)...they held up better than anything i had had before...i have a prm on my 2006 450r because i didn't know if armadillo changed the skid for the new model yet(back in march)...it is holding up just as well as the others did...so if price is an issue, you can't go wrong with the armadillo being it is $20 or so cheaper than the prm...

PRM any day of the week, we have them on all of our quads and would run nothing else

i have both prm and armadillo...they are equal to each other...the only difference is the finish of the prm is a little better, meaning it looks cleaner...is that worth the extra $30 or so to someone? since it is on the bottom of the machine and gets beat up any way, it should not...i would have an armadillo on my 450r had i been sure they had made the changes to them. the 04/05 plates are different than the 06/07 plates. Plus prm has a swing arm skid that is already cut out for aftermarket linkages...that is the one i got...had it not been for those 2 reasons, there would be another armadillo on my 450r...

i think im going to buy the armadillo. i hate when skid plates bend up and rub against the chain/brake rotor. then you cant bend it back:grr:
