i was just currious on your input, in the near future i will be getting a new quad (moving up from my 250 hah)

and my picks are either a 400 or a 450.

i ride allot of trails (sand, gravel, mud, hard pack, streams, just about anything you can think of) and track

if i were to get a 400 i would get a z, i just can't stand the new style of the ex

and if i were to get a 450 it would be an 450r

i guess my question is what would you guys recomend for my style and type of riding (i'm 5'11 170 pounds)

i've ridden both, and i sometimes feel that the z is too tipsy and feel more comfortable on a 450, but i don't want to waiste my money on an r if they aren't good trail quads

thanks for the input

um...well...if you dont like the new style of the ex, why do you like the 450r?

anyway, if your capable of handling the power, go with a 450. its a better platform to start from. good luck with your decision.

Personally for trail riding and dependability.. I'd get a used 400ex with the older body style and with reverse.

Cheaper and more reliable. Loads of extra cash for upgrades too. ;)

the 450r looks fine, it's just the 400ex looks like a wanna be, scrunched up 450

but if i were to get a 400 why not a z, it has getter suspension (rezies), i mean sure it's not a honda but i'm looking for bang for the buck

i'm really starting to lean towards the 450, does anyone has any input on them as trail quads?

thanks

I accually think for Woods riding a 400ex is better. 400s can turn on a dime
