I need your exports to help me out... I am rebuilding my LT500r and don't know much about the ratio's for the sprockets? I need someone to help me out to find a good set up to ride around in mud with and minor motorcross stuff... Thanks Spurr

Ahhh the old Quadzilla. When I used to own mine I used several different combo's. Mine being an 87' came with a 13/42 stock. The 88-90's came with 13/40 stock.
I actually had very good luck with a 13/38 combo for agressive trail riding and the occasionaly trip to the mx track. It made the gears very long and made the quad easy to ride. 3rd gear just about everywhere. Before I sold it I put a 42 tooth rear on it bacause I hit a rock with the 38 and it was bent pretty bad and I needed a sprocket to I could ride the next day and that's all the dealer had. Top-speed dropped considerably, I would guess from the lower 80's into the mid 70's and it felt very punchy. First gear was too short for all but the most technical sections. Good luck with that thing, good to hear someone still has one.

Thanks for your help... Yea I have had it for about six months now and the owner before me took really sh***y short cuts on it. Like miss match parts or just bodging something together!! AHHH

Same here. Make sure you check your frame over good every coulpe of rides. I broke mine somewhere almost every ride. Those ratios i gave were with 20 inch tires by the way. Forgot to say that.

As far as I know 20's were stock. I had a set of 20x11x9's on it when i got it and the guy said they were original, which I wouldn't doubt, they had no tread left, at all, none. They were Dunlop's I beleive, but this was 4 years ago so my memory could be off.

all suzuki's in the 80's came with dunlops and most were 20's. yeah the quadzilla frames are weak and the 85-86 quadracer frames are weak too. you really should gusset that frame before you put it all together so you don't have that problem. the 85-86 racers had weld problems and front motor mount problems. the fix for all the suzuki frames is to gusset them everywhere usually. especially at and near the a-arms and at and near the swing arm and you peg and motor area. and upper shock mounts.

haha well I am a professional welder on Caterpillar Equipment... And I did notice the welds on the bike were extremely thin and jumpy. I was planing on welding up the frame my way... 1/2 beads...
