View Full Version : What synthetic oil should I use?

I am tired of Yamalube and want to use a synthetic. My YFZ is stock. What are you're suggestions? Thanks!

WE use Dumonde Tech in ours(all of ours) :) it's an 04' & have NEVER replaced the clutch yet, or had any other issues!! The previous owner used Motul so it's always had good oil in it!! Probably easier to get than Amsoil unless you have a dealer close!

you can pay 10 bucks i think and become an amsoil dealer your self. thats what i did. i get it at a great price, and it only takes about 2 days to get here most of the time. i keep a extra 2 quarts and filter all the time tho, just in case i need it quicker.

motul and redline are my other two favorites

Has anyone used Klotz MX4? I have heard good things.

i had engine builder tell me klotz isnt what its cracked up to be

you could try rotella synthetic as well.

You can always use Mobile 1 MX4T in both the engine and transmission side. I'd use Honda HP4M (with MOLY) in the enigne side and HP4 in the trans side. I have heard more than once that Mobile 1 is Honda HP4. Can anyone verify this?

I didnt know that the YFZ doesent seperate the engine oil from the trans oil. Learn something here everyday.
I use the Mobile 1 in this case cause you can get it anywhere.

Thanks man. I just bought oil with moly. Thank God I did not pour it in yet.
