Whats up everyone.

I am a newbie to the site, but not to rippin!...I have a few questions about how to get started in racing. I live in NY but I travel to PA to ride as well as in NY and NJ. I am not sure how to find out where I belong or what District to race in..

I know I have to get the AMA card but what does that mean? I can race anywhere I want? What class should I start at? and how do I find out when and where the races are?

I know these are probably dumb questions and I have been looking but can't seem to find the information I need.

Any info you can give will be helpful!:D

a district is just a certain state (or part of a state) that a series is held in. You do not have to live in that district to compete in it.
you can run any district and series you want, usually you have to sign up for the district that you are racing in to be eligible for points.

when you get to a track, dont be afraid to ask people questions, there are alot of racers out there that are willing to help out.
