My friend had one for 2 years with a 318, which is a very similar motor. Had a set of 33's and a 2 inch lift and he liked it. Sold it with 218000 miles on it and no real problems when he had it.

The v8 Grand Cherokees are known for going through tranfer cases and differentials.I have seen the rear ends go out at under 20,000 miles. They have great power but they break alot. The ones with the 4.0 inline 6 seem to run forever.

hahah...it isn't only the cherokee's. seems to run in the (Chrysler) family:devil: driveline problems are common in chrysler products(pickups, suvs) and yes, this is coming from a die-hard dodge fan. :blah: i've been through a transfer case, a rear end, and countless u-joints in my dakota. i think the best improvement i made to that truck was t-boning an S-10:D

Vehicle manufacturers have come a long way in improving their transmissions and it wasn't just Chrysler that had problems. However, the vehicle in question was definately a drivetrain eater :scary:
