Skid Plate mounting ?

I bought a Pro Armor skid plate for my son's 400 Scrambler. Went to install it and found that the mounting plate was too small. I called Pro Armor ans they stated that they sent the right one, to fit both 400 and 500 Scramblers. Any advice on how to mount this?

Call them back, and tell them the exact situation. If it doesnt fit, then it doesnt fit. If they are *******s about it, send it back, dont scratch it up, and go with another brand.

Ya....that was gonna be my last resort, but was hoping to be able to use this one. This wasn't cheap either. But the quality looks real good. I'll probably take your advise.
