my R is running HORRIBLE

the bike is idling fine, but when you hit the gas, it will sit and sputter..too much gas, it will stall..after sputtering the bike for a minute or so, it will finally rev up..it will run fine for a little bit, then will shut off..i just dropped a fresh plug in it and had no result..

Try cleaning your carb its sounds like you have some dirt in there.

i'm gonna be ripping the carb apart later to give it a good cleaning..if that dont work, could it be anything else??

Sure it could be something else but from what you described it sounds like a dirty pilot jet.

No. The pilot jet would be the pilot jet..

I believe the Honda manual refers to it as the slow jet. It is the long skinny jet next to the main.

try cleaning out the fuel hose, coz my freinds bike had dirt built up on the mesh screen, and it would run proerply in high rpm

If the bike idles fine, then why would it be his slow jet??? To isolate a problem and give you more help you will have to go into detail about the mods/history of the bike. Do you have anything aftermarket on it? How long have you owned it? Has it been sitting for awhile? Has it ever run good for you? Any detail you can give the better.

yeah..it runs mint if can actually get it to high RPM..i'm takin the carb out in a few mins...
