How much faster than a 250r motor is the 350x motor?

not very, i'd almost rather see a 250r motor in it. 350x is nice but i dont think there is the same potential for hp and reliablitiy as the 250r motor would have.

does any one know what type of horsepower 350x motors put out?

i built a 425cc 350x motor in a national 250x and it runs right with my 250r. my 250 has a mild port job, .040", lrd adjustable pipe/silencer, boyeson reeds, 39mm pwk ... these bikes are just part of our racing history.

i have heard great things with those motors and have seen a few done but for rec i would question the reliablity, how well did yours hold up?, i just would think that it would mostly be racing only. I know with my 250- 406 full done it was mostly strictly only racing motor ran hott.

i see alot of that when the buyer doesnt think it sold for enough he will pull it or flat out not sell it and list it again to get the money he wants out of it.

not only that but....its usually their friend bidding it up so all they need is one person to outbid what his buddy bid it up too

i have a feeling this is the case on this, bids are blocked to see so you dont know who is bidding, pretty much because the person probably is right next door..... alot of the low reserve quads or quads with no reserve do this to try and persaude people to bid because its NR then they have there buddy try to battle with you and get the price up

I left several messages with the guy even on his phone, letting him know i wanted to buy it, and he has yet to ever return or reply to any of my messages. Either a scam or he doesnt want to sell it:huh

i have called him also interested in his quad somewhat if it was for sale at the right price, i know he wants quite a bit for it. to tell you the truth i don't think he knows to much about the quad himself he bought it off of another guy that built it. He doesnt know much about the motor only that it was built by tc and is 14:1 compression and told me it ran on pump gas. I asked him are you sure it can run on pump gas he said o yea it runs great on it you dont need race gas. the guy before used race gas but he also used to race it.
I have doupt that it can run cleanly and safe on pump gas with that compression.

I always thought that 12:1 was the limit on liquid cooled motors and 11:1 was the limit on air-cooled motors. I know my 86 200x that will be getting a 12:1 piston, I was told, that I have to run race gas in it. The top end won't last long with pump gas.

you can get away with air cooled motor on 12:1 depending on what cam, heck you could get away with alot more also depending on the cam. but just the way the motor was sounding and the way he talked. he bought from a guy who used to race local series... this motor was fully built and i would suspect that the guy he bought it from told him that he could run pump so it would sound better but at 14:1 on a full race motor with pump gas i dont want to look at what the top end of his motor looks like.

Wow he must be smoking.I did email him and he answered right away but he doesnt know much about the motor,i asked him if he had the 89mm piston he didnt know.I asked him if it was competitive with the 4fiddys and he was honest and said "not quite as fast as a 450".But thats all subjective on the track where rider skill means more.I'd like to build one myself.

lol i've talked with him on the phone he told me 14:1 compression fully built motor, said it will blow by his friends big bore 450 think he said 540 big bore something like that...... I think this guy just happen to stumble upon this quad as he does not know to much about it, at least this it what it seems to me.
