Ive never really looked into buying a-arms and i found a good deal on some, and i was wondering how all that worked. If they where +1's if it just made your bike 1 inch wider with each arm being 1/2 inch longer, or if it made it 2 inches wider. I figure it makes it 2 inches wider, Thanx for any help.

1+1=2" wider than stock
2+2=4" wider than stock
3+3=6" wider than stock

I don't see how that can be right. Gibson sells +3 a-arms. If you use ya'lls theory, then that would mean that the quad would be 6" wider than stock. Lets say your quad is 46" from the factory(most are), then you would be of 52" wide. Even after putting on 4/1" wheels, you'd still be over the legal atva limit for mx at 50". Seems to me that it is a TOTAL of 3", not 3" plus 3".

That would be assuming 46" at the front wheels. Most quads from the factory are wider in the rear than the front. If the advertised width is 46.. odds are the front is 45. 45 + 6 = 51. 3.5/1.5 offset (honda factory) switched to 4/1 would put you right at 50.

he is correct. the front is narrower then the rear when in stock form. that is why they do not make +6" axles.
