First off I hope this is ok, if not please let me know. Not many of you know, except for some guys off of OhioMafiaRiders, but my girlfriend of 6 years, who I lived with for the past 5 years, passed away a little over a month ago on October 11th. It was completely out of the blue and the cause was blood clots in both lungs. Her birthday is November 26th and she would have been 26 years old. For her birthday I am taking donations in her name for the Portage Animal Protective League, they are a great organization and help all kinds of animals: http://www.petfinder.com/shelters/OH110.html

She loved pets and was seeking information on becoming a foster home while the shelters found a more permanent home. Donating for this cause would have made her very proud. I know that it is the holiday season and nothing is expected, but if you can spare a dollar or two, every little bit helps. I also know that donating to a paypal address is sometimes suspect, so feel free to check us out on either www.silverlakesandduners.com or www.ohiomafiariders.com , our user names were JMann2380 and Ruby_Girl.

Donations through Paypal can be sent to: memoryofdesiree@gmail.com
Donations can be mailed to:
Joshua Manley
c/o Animal Protective League (make the check out to this)

Also please check out these pictures of her, she also rode a DS! Thanks, Josh

My boss just gave me a check for $100, so we are up to $350.49 with 11 people donating. I hope we can at least clear $500. I am also thinking about doing a charity auction on ebay with her laptop and that would put us close to $1000. I think Des and the Portage Animal Protective League would be estatic.

I'll be mailing at least $10 as soon as I can.

No problem, it will take a couple of weeks to get the check from paypal when I request it. And obviously anything I receive after that I can still take up there. The Portage Animal Protective League is located about 10 minutes from my house.

Very sorry to hear about your loss. She seemed like a very nice girl. I sent a little something through paypal. Sounds like a good cause too.

$1070.50 has been donated from 24 people and there some still in the mail. I am guessing we will be over $1200. This is just amazing and very generous this close to Christmas.

Merry Christmas everyone,

I went to the Portage APL yesterday with Des' Dad and mom, we gave them a donation for $1300. They were absolutely thrilled and I am confident the money will be spent wisely. Thanks again for your donations it really meant alot to not only me and Des, but her family, friends and the PAPL, and of course the dogs and cats.

Wow, im really lost for words. I am very sorry to hear about your girlfriend, loosing a loved one has to be the hardest thing in life. And for doing what you have done by raising money towards a donation to help others and animals, that means alot man. I dont know you, but would like to thank you for what you have done, to turn around a tragedy to something positive, is a great thing and takes a big heart! Im sure she is somewhere smiling down on you.

Thank you
Justin
