Red seat, Black seat.

Hi guys,
Can anyone tell me if an 05 400ex should have a red seat or black. Trying to correctly id model year without id plate.
Any help appreciated.

UMMMM MY 05 HAS A RED SEAT THAT IS STOCK

Are there any other easily distinguishable features ?

The 05 has reverse and diff. plastics... really thats it.... also yellow plastic with the new body style would indicate an 05 because that was the last year for yellow.

if its a yellow then its an 05, and if its red with a red seat then its 05.......the 06 and 07 400ex have black seats on both the black and red plastic schemes

Thanks for that, confirms what I thought, red with red seat must be 05.
