View Full Version : A trick to adding tranny oil in the 450r

I know this may seem a bit dumb but I watch people pour oil all over the engine and it drives me nuts!!!

So, you have the oil but no funnel and you don't want to spill it. Cover half the hole by pressing your thumb horizontally across the hole. Now just add oil by pouring it into the opening over top your thumb. Your thumb will keep the oil from coming back out onto the engine.

Run Honda 80w 2 stroke tranny oil and u wont have the problem. The bottle runs to a point and has a special end on, just point and sqeeze.

yep the honda recomended oil comes in a bottle like gear lube.

no mess with the nipple.

draining it is a little messy

Just get a coke bottle out of the bin, cut the bottom of it, turn it upside down and you have yourself a brand new funnel. :D:D:D
or you could just buy a funnel :blah:

get an old gear lube cap it screws right onto the oil no mess no clean up

the honda recommended clutch oil comes in a gear lube bottle.
