First off do you think its worth it? Do I have a good chance of selling my bike for atleast $6,500? (Hybrid in my sig) also I will put a reserve on it. Will I still be charged if it does not meet the reserve? How reliable is the selling sytem on ebay? I honestly dont feel very comfortable giving them my Debit card #, and bank account # and all that stuff. Thanks

it is safe to give the info they need. i was sceptical about it at first to. safe... yea. you do not have to sell if it dont meet the reserve. you can relist it. just be sure and NOTE IT in the ad somewhere. good luck on the 6500 though... dont think it will happen. but good luck!!!

I wouldn't have a problem doing it but because of my location (too geographically isolated from populated areas) I won't.

I watch lots of 400EX's, etc sell and seen several hybrids as well. I wish you luck but there's no chance you'll get what you want on ebay. It seems most, I included, are more interested in bargains than value per se. I'd be surprised if you got more than $4,000.

I think, look up in ebay's rules, that if you get no bids on the first auction and relist and it sells, they don't charge for the first auction. Look it up. I do more buying than selling so I'm not 100% sure.

Well if I just put a reserve on it, and it does not sell then nothing happens right? I dont have to pay anything?

Yeah, you'll have to pay. If you relist it, then they might not charge. It seems like I had some old parts I tried to sell and had no bids and they offered me the chance to relist and if they sold, I wouldn't be charged for the first auction. I didn't do it so I don't know for sure. For a higher dollar item such as your quad that may not be the case, mine were old parts that weren't worth much except to someone who might've needed them.

Go to ebay and look around. I'm sure you can find in their menu somewhere the questions you have.

You will have to pay a listing fee and a reserve fee and IF you sell it a final value fee and if they pay paypal they get a fee.You might be better off selling it in a local cycle trader mag.

Good luck bro. I only gave $4500 for my JRD/AXIS/CRF.
It was a little rough, but I doubt you'll ever pull more than $5500 with it like it is. That's being lucky.
I'd say part it.

I wish you luck on the auction, but hybrids are hard to get money out of now days, heck all quads are right now. Even full Walsh quads arent bringing close to what you are wanting, but who knows. Good luck with the sale.

He's right. The used quad market is pretty bad from a sellers standpoint. All these cool new quads out now and dealer financing make it so easy to just walk out of the dealership with a shiny new one right now.I hope you get what you want for it.

Please take no offense in what I will say here.....

As a buyer/reseller, you would be offered $4500 as is. That is just the market. The new quads have dropped the value of everything, and the new quads pretty much suck because they will be replaced each season at the least for anything over a B rider. Hybrids have no real advantage to sponsors because they want the parts out there that they are selling, which happpens to be for the newer quads.

I have no doubt your hybrid is worth $7000, but unless you find that one person, it wont fetch it:(

Heck, i just bought a 250r for $1300 that runs like a champ, what does that say about the used market:p
