I'm looking to convert the front end of my 300ex to a 250r/400ex one and I can get some progressive shocks for real cheap, but i'm wondering if the are better than stock ex/r shocks, so please post your opinion!

They are just replacement shocks, i can't see them being any better than your stock suspention.
Unless your stock shocks are blown and you don't have the cash for works or elka, don't bother, just save a little more money.

They are a little better. Dual rate progressives came with my R. They are not durable at all though, after about 3 months I broke the preload adjustment collor off both shocks.
