I know the upper a-arms are aluminium(spelling??).I was thinking about stripping off the paint and polishing them to look like chrome.Just wondering if anyone has already tried this??

I used to see pics of stockers that were polished on some of the dedicated yfz sites. I always wondered how long it would last though (look good).

I did it. It was a lot of work and I dont think it was worth it, unless maybe your doing alot of sand dune riding. I also did the front shocks, It was a ton of work to do and it looked good at first but will take some maintaining to keep it looking nice

Id say if you got that kinda time on your hands you could use that time to make some money to buy a set of a arms thats worth shineing ;) but thats just my 2 cents

In the sand dunes at lilttle sahara,ok it made my polished aluminum dull out worse then riding in dirt.

just try it and see. I no longer have my stock arms on anymore but still have old uppers ones if your interested in them. I could even shine them up a bit.
