42mm TRX carb (04-05) carb mod?

Are there any carb mods going around for this carb? I know it is possible to taper bore the FCR carbs but, what about these..?

if there is a mod for these i dont know of one. i think the only mod is to sell the damn thing and get one of thoes fcr carbs lol

I've tried a 39mm FCR off a YFZ but, couldn't get the jetting figured out. Had a MASSIVE air leak somewhere in the carb. I know, sounds weird and...it was.

If I find someone selling off a 40mm FCR then I'll move up. Don't see a reason to spend $500 on a carb right now.

there isn't much you can do to these stock carbs. i am thinking there is a FCR off of a 06 450r on www.trx450r.org in the for sale section. i think anyways.....

you will have to rig up an intake boot to make it fit though because the 06 carbs are shorter than the 04/05 ones.

my dad found a company selling the fcr carb for the crf dirt bike he payed $380 for it brand new. he purchaced it for his stroker 465ex ill get ahold of him and find out where he got it. i think it was service honda

Are you talking about the 41mm's?

the carb is off of a 04 crf i cant rember what size it is i dont tkink its a 41 though

40mm FCR's are off of the CRF450r dirtbike from the factory. they are a bit more advanced than the original 39 and 41mm FCR's. yes, you can get them from www.servicehonda.com

ya it is a 40mm as for the advanced part i dont know. like i said my father purchesed it went on with out a hitch. but thanks for the info
