Yep, there is a few posts on here about it. The cost to add a kick to a ER is around $500. There is a parts list running around too.

Do a search and you should find a few posts...

Yes you can convert the 06ER to a kicker, I have a converted kicker ONLY. I know that there are others out there that have both.

JH racing did mine!

I have converted mine and it starts alot better. There are over 20 little parts to it. I have cut my plastic to save money, looks very good though. I have gutted my electric start and now this is the best it has ever started, until it gets hot. Then I wish I had both. You can use both at the same time but it wears out your starter parts, Mine will not start will the e- start at all but it will fire on the first kick. You can do a search on here for all the needed parts. If you can not find them pm me and I will compose one for you.

To save alot of search time could you direct me to the area?
Also, is this something I can do on my own? Z.

A friend of mine, former GNCC Pro and Baldwin rider Justin Brown, had Mark Baldwin convert his '06 and he couldn't be happier with it. As a side note, he also took the FCR off and put an '04-05 carb on it and likes this set-up much better. This is a complete Baldwin motor and for XC type riding, the older carb looks like the way to go.

So, I taker it I would also have to run an 04-05 airbox?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Z.

It might be because the E-start FCR has no hot start. That is what I am assuming.

I have a 04/05 carb on the way though, just to see what it will do!

If you replaced the FCR with the 04-05 carb would you still be able to use the electric start? Also how much is the 04-05 carbs run??

Yeah, carb has nothing to do with the starting!
