more on the 450R carb decisions

I just read the sticky thread about using the 450R carb on the 400EX. WoW! There is some great info in there.

If anyone else was like me, I was definitely interested. I immediately went to servicehonda and checked out these carbs.

Does anyone know what is the difference between the '04-'05 450R carbs? One part # changes from 672 to 673 and in the description it shows A A and A B, as shown below:

16100-HP1-672 QA16A A $172.61
16100-HP1-673 QA16A B $172.61

And HOKEY PETE! the difference between the '06 and the '04-'05!!!

'06 450R carb 16100-HP1-843 $439.45 !!!

And for anyone else who may be interested, it looks like the part numbers for the '04-'05 throttle cable and fuel line are:

cable: 17910-HP1-000 = $16.42
fuel line: 16956-HP1-000 $5.53

I really dont think that there is any difference between the 04 and 05 carbs. It doesn't matter which one you use they both will work. The 2006 carb is an FCR carb which is the same type of carb they use on the CRF450 dirtbikes.
