Heatshield touching header

Is it ok that my exhaust header touches the heatshield on my UM oversized oil tank?

If it's just a heat shield it should be ok.

I would put a couple rows of fiberglass exhaust insulation tape on the heatshield where it is touching for a bit of extra thermal break.

I know some exhausts come REAL close to hitting the stock oil tank, but the UM 's heatshield sticks out even closer than the stock tank. My old FMF hi flow header was like that.

I don't have an intelligient answer for you but if it's touching that kind of defeats the purpose of the heat shield. Just FYI to consider.
