OK guys-

Herer's the deal- it did come off an electric start quad so there is no hot start. I haven't needed it but evidently there are reservations about it. Heck- I didn't even know there was a difference.

There is an electric switch on it that acts like a hot start (Honda tells me)- it apparently opens the throttle a little but to allow more air into the carb. The electrical switch is on the top of the carb and enters the body right next to the cable- see pic in a minute. Obviously you would just disconnect this- I did.

There is a place that will accept a hot start cable, If you look at the schematic on line somewhere, it is right above the choke. But, it would need to be threaded to accept the cable, and a small hole would need to be drilled into the carb from the inside for it to work. That would make it the same as the CRF kickstart carb- I looked at Honda today. It would be tricky but I am sure someone who is more mechanically inclined could handle it- but not me.

Because of this issue- and if you would be up to the challenge- I am going to drop the price to $175 shipped. Surely somebody could do this and get a $400 carb for less than half the price.

What do you guys think?
