Hey, a month or so ago, I read a thread about removing the choke on the carberator, then putting a different pilot jet in. Does anyone have a copy of this thread. I'm wanting to remove my choke, and it had really good directions. Thanks a bunch to anyone who can help.

I dont have a copy but all you have to do after you remove the choke is put a little rubber cap over the hole where the choke shaft used to come out. After that you just take out your stock jet and put in a #42 pilot. But just curious, why do you want to take it out? I have a #42 in mine and still kept my choke, it starts up easier but i still use the choke when its cold so i dont have to give it a lot of gas to keep it running.

Supposadly, when you remove the choke it gives a smoother throttle response. I'm hoping to put in a 416 kit, and then do the carb also. I've seen some of the remarks on the forums, I think it'll help. Guess we'll see. Thanks for all the help
