Can someone help me figure out the transmission gear ratios are for a 2004 300 ex?
Honda lists them as
Primary 2.833 (24/68)
Secondary 2.923 (13/38)
1 3.692 (13/48)
2 1.857 (21/39)
3 1.458 (24/35)
4 1.178 (28/33)
5 1.178 (28/33)
Rev 5.4 (13/33 x 15/32)

I do not understand what the Primary and secondary numbers are for. They are NOT referring to the drive sprockets. My local dealer does not have a clue. I want to use the 300ex motor in another vehicle that list the gears as :
1 10.05
2 5.17
3 3.54
4 2.7
rev 12.15

I need to know how to figure the gear ratios at the output sprocket.
Please help me out.

the primary number is the primary reduction of the crank gear to the clutch basket gear. from there the trans. gears change the reduction. then you have the secondary reduction which are drive sprockets.

so to figure out the gear reduction at the sprocket, multiply the primary reduction by whatever gear you want. like first would have 10.459 reduction at the front sprocket(2.833x3.692).
