How to tighten 300ex chain?

I have a 00 300ex and i didnt get a owners manual or anythin in the tool box so can someone tell me what to use to tighten the chain besides the chain tool and how do i tighten it?
And if anyone has a owners manual for a 00 300ex or unless the 300 owners manuals are the same i would like to buy it. Must be in mint condition thanks someone help please help me:eek:

losen the two alen bolts at the end of the swing arm , to the left there will be a place to put a screw driver in or something , put the alen key in there and push it to lossen and pull on it to tighten it . then re tighten the two alen bolts and your done!!!

there is no real set time for checking the tension on a chain just check it everyday befor you go ride and you should be good. i set it where there is about 1/4 inch play both ways (up and down). hope this helps...later...

there is a 12mm bolt underneath loosen it at the same time you loosen the two allen bolts.

what bolt are you talking about? there is no 12mm on mine??? im confused!!!!:confused: :huh

between the two allen bolts under the swing arm . unless newer models don't have them my 87 250x has it and my 94 300ex has it.

Yes i have a few pics but i dont know how to post them up im confused how to put them on thanks and yes my 00 ex has the bolt inbetween the 2 allens

oh you mean the lock bold to keep the carrier from comming out? you dont have to take that one out it just holds the carrier in and something like it keeps you from adjusting it to far or something but you dont have to loosen it or anything atleast you dont on my X... later...
