i bought a 03 300ex, it runs fine when i just ride it but when i wheelie or i'm on a steep incline, and sometime when i do donuts it will die like it's staving for fuel, i've cleaned the carb and it helped a little. it gets kind of aggravating having to try to recrank it every time. any help would be great. THANKS!!!

Kickstart you should know better, it's not jetting, it's a float problem. Set your float height.

300ex carbs don't have adjustable float heights

1st.. check the petcock filter. If it's semi clogged it may feed enough fuel to run.. but when the carb overflow is going (like a wheelie, steep incline, or donuts) it may not be passing enough fuel to keep up.

Underneath the gas tank on the bottom of the petcock theres a small cap with a hex head on it so you can use a socket to unscrew it. Inside theres a small plastic screen. Clean it off. I garauntee it's probably clogged up.

Yep, it's been too long since I've had my 300's carb apart. The ole 300ex sits on the backburner now that I have the R. :macho
