My Raptor 350 by actual radar goes 63 mph pretty consistently.

I have never clocked a Blaster or 400ex. But have most reviews put the 400 ex right around 65-67 and the Blaster was 57 mph tested by offroad.com.

In the big scheme of things all of them are really close and would hate to take a spill on any of them at their top speed. :p

Get the Blaster for him. There are more aftermarket parts available for it. If he would want more power he could get engine parts easily. The handeling is also alot better. You can do pretty much anything to blasters. the 350's not much at all. Speed wise its not to far off from the Raptor 350.

Ah this guy doesnt want a blasted 2-stroke, the blaster has no torque at all, get the Raptor 350, even though its slow at around 60mph it has alot more low end and reverse! Also it has one of the most bullet proof motors in the sport, proved and tested by the Warrior. One of my friends wife has the se version, its sharp and is a great trail machine. BUT if I had a choice between the Raptor 350 and 400ex, I would definetely go with the 400ex. They can take a beating and are one step above the raptor 350 in the performance market. Its also a great trail machine.

Blaster<Raptor 350<400ex.

If you rule out the 400 I would go for 350, only because it has reverse and is more rider/user friendly.

New 400 ex's have reverse, so there is really no reason to pick the raptor 350 over it. The 400 handles better, has more power, and also has a bullet proof motor.

The raptor 350 is very close to same as the blaster. The 400ex stock vs. stock is the fastest. i would prolly go with the blaster, because they are so easy to mod, and cause i'm a Yamaha guy:macho lol. Otherwise, deff. the 400ex...
