how many of you race and play? how much do you get to race in the summer like the nationals and how much does it take away from racing???

i race and play, my riding season basically ends august 1st, reason why im most likely not playin next year :devil:

i played for a while lol...until i got kicked off lol....but yea it took time but you have to be dedicated to the sport ..btu look at it this way if your good enouhg then it could take you to college ..but even if you don't your only wastin 3 mounths lol

i played sports and competed in horse shows and it didnt work out well... i could have done a lot better if my parents had made me play sports.... and im talking volleyball, basketball, softball, track and cross country

whichever u r more serious about, i would do

yah i show horses, race, and play football...i havent started football yet but i will be in a month or 2

the only thing i got to say man is, do what you want to do. I mean which are you more passionate about. If you think you will go far in football deffiantely do it, but if you like racing better, and think you have a carrer in that, do that.

yah ive already signd up 4 football but i was j/w if it will get in the way of the nationals....i know i will be in better shape when that time comes around

all i know is my buddy played varisty football, and for a couple weeks he was pretty much playing football/lifting/doing additional workouts every day except sunday. so you have to be pretty committed to it. coaches dont really like to hear that you race either, because then the worry about you getting injured. you might not want to broadcast that too much.
