First time posting. I have a 95 300ex. Today we were riding and I noticed that it was making a sound like the chain was binding or not running in line. I checked and it appears to be in line. I also thought it might be my sprockets catching the chain but it dosent appear so. If you have any ideas on how to fix it CHEAPLY please help.

Thanks Rob

2 days before the ride. I have only had the 300 for a couple of months and have probley been of 4-5 rides. Does anybody think it could be my rear bearings goin out. I can stand on the pegs and rock the bike back and forth and I feel some play in it. I checked my friend 01 400ex and his dosent do it.

and grab the wheels and try to move the axle back and forth and watch the rear sprocket for movement.

Now that i think of it I had a blster that did that and it was the axle bearings.

How hard and how much does it cost for bearings? Where is the best place to get them?

Napa auto parts they are the same bearings there just in a differnt box and for bearings and seals its less than $40.00

at the napa they have a book and you tell them the make and model as for putting them in jack up the back take off the wheels and remove the break side hub and remove the rear break 2 bolts 12mm then loosen jam nut on axle turn it in towards brake and then turn big nut in towards brake and remove split ring of axle then take of chain and pull out axle . Now you take a punch or screwdriver and stick in axle carrier and drive out old bearings.
