it allready has, a-arms +2, axle, shocks, sparks exhaust, atc engine

it comes with a full supermoto setup with short shock. tires and rimms (as shown in picture)

and also with a full MX setup with normal shocks, tires and stuff.

though it has the 2 crankbearings out and also the balancer bearing is toast.

If the cases are split, while you're in there, check out the tranny bearings too. Replace all the seals too (there aren't many). It's cheap insurance and then ya, good as new! By the way, stick a feeler in the crank and make sure play is within spec. Be glad you don't have to worry about valves and all that other useless smog crap. Nice find.

Very cool. There are good deals on R's all over it seems now! oh by the way, I don't think there is any significant difference between any of hte 85-89 250R motors. There are internal differences to be sure, but none that your chassis or anything bolting to it would care about.

looks like you have a custom rear rotor/caliper setup, never seen one like that. more pics??

thats just because they are factory riders :P lol

the rear caliper and disc are built on for supermotard racing
the stock caiper and disc got to hot to fast so you couldnt brake any more.

the front shocks are WP shocks.
at the rear i got 1 supermoto WP shock and an extra MX reiger shock.

i do have some plans for this one.

first thing on the list is gettin the motor running.
needs some new bearings.

it does have: paul turner exhaust, UNI air filters, got 2 carbs with it one is 35mm and the other is 40, and a rotax ignition.

when that is done ill test ride it,
then tear it down
get the frame welded( some haircracks and the seatlatch is broken)

get the frame sand blasted and powdercoated red,
and then get some blue laker plastics

haha, i was thinking the exact same. all the purple and red.

looks sweet though. and there are no differences besides the atc and trx motors. only real differences are that the 85-86 have a shorter rod than the 87-89. that also means the piston is a bit different since they're still using the same cylinder and all.

oh, and it was either the clutch cover or the flywheel cover. either way, one of them sticks out further.

but there are no major differences.

thanks for the info guys :)

i realy apreciate it.

even when the engine is torn out i just had to sit on it and it feels realy confortable.

so im realy curious about how she will handle.

i send out an email to my dealer a few minutes ago to order the needed bearings and stuff so i hope they arive next week

but i have another question.
since im new to the 250r (had a quadzilla before) i was wondering.
my piston says 66.360 on top if im not mistaken that is the bore size.

but now my question is how many bores do i have left on this cilinder?

stock 246cc's was is a 66mm bore. You can bore them reliably to 69 and I think if you're really lucky 69.5. So you're good to go there!

By the way, order stuff from servicehonda.com. Way cheaper than the local stealership - at least here in cali anyway. They charge $13 min for shipping though, but order a few things at a time and you'll save cash.

Someone correct me if I wrong but I think that is a stock CR 250 size piston. My nickle bore 250 PV cylinder runs that size piston.

the front brakes are stock ones but are filled with a special brake fluid.

the rear is a double piston driver from both sides each has its own hose

the rotor is are like 2 rotors atachted to eachother with airscoops inbetween whitch forces air through the discs for extra cooling

Good luck with it. It's lookin like a good project. Did you order all the bearings for the bottom end, and transmission? Or just the ones that looked like they needed replacement? I'm in the long process of maybe rebuilding my motor, and I bought all new bearings for the whole motor, just as a safty thing, so I know everything in the motor is new.

i checked every bearing and ordered the ones that had to much play the rest of them will stay and be replaced after next season.

i found some cracks in the frame but i allready made a gusset kit that is gonna be welded in there pretty soon.
