155 jet looks smaller?

The stock 148 main has a bigger hole than the 155 i just bought. Is this normal?? need help here.....did they give me the wrong jet? it does say 155.....

148 to a 155 it might be hard to tell but it should look biger.

Are they the same type of jets? Some jet kits number are bigger or smaller than others.

No not the same company...the new one is a Keyster main jet....know anything about those??

You need to check and make sure you have the right jet for your carb. my dealer tried to give me jets for a different carb(they didn't even know what carb came on a 400ex:confused: )

Sometimes dealers and shops bore out jets to a bigger size.

Sometimes a "larger" jet will have a smaller hole. The shape of the jet is important, you can't just drill it out, that will create turbulance and may actually reduce flow.

Thanks for the help....we figured it out. They gave us the wrong jets ( for another carb). This was the Honda dealer...you think they would have known...guess not.
