Airbox Lid Question [Archive]

Will an 04/05 HRC lid fit on my 06? And if so, can I buy that by itself?

I believe the 04/05 Lid is completely different from the 06/07 lids. I'm pretty sure the 06/07's entire airbox was totally redesigned. Not 100% on that tho.

look on EBay or get one from servicehonda maybe.
the two are completely different
why do u need one for yours? Break it or cut it wrong lol
you could check out an outterwears from C&D Racing, I have one and it works great, stops everything but dust:D

I want to keep one for this time of year when I ride in the mud really often, but during the summer time when its nice have a cut one, kind of like the 04/05 hrc lid. I dont want to completely take it off, but I want the more air flow.

Well, you might have to bite the bullet and buy one from EBay, but most are going to be new for a little extra $$.

I mentioned the outterwears because it works so dam.n well. It lets in no water or sand, the only thing that goes through it is dust and AIR! Really nice, might be what you want for the summer.:D

The 04/05 air box lid will fit just fine on an 06.....I cut the back half of my stock 06 lid out and got rid of Honda's stupid snorkel and bought a 04/05 lid so when I wash my bike I put it on.....they are they same....and you can buy them from Honda for like 10 bucks or less
