Are stock jets messured the same compaired to Dynojet? I have a stock 05' 400ex carb. The main jet has 148 on it. With the install of quad works kit (K&N filter, outerware, dynojet kit). Dynojet instructions says install 142 w/ stock exhaust and 146 w/ aftermarket exhaust. If there messured the same why go down in jets. I thought you should go up? With the dyno 142 jet in it don't start.

Does this sound right: Under 3000 ft. (FL) 146 main, 42 pilot, fuel 2.5 turns out. Mods: k&N w/ outerware, two bros exhaust.

the 146 is a dynojet though it is different. there is a "conversion" chart somewhere in this forum, its not exact but it will ballpark wut jetting your currently at in kehein jet sizes. a 146 dynojet is bigger than a 148 kehein and if u find the chart it will tell you exactly. and the main jet should not affect the way it starts, that would be part of either the pilot jet a/f screw.
