plastic problem!!!

my brother has a honda 300ex and when we bought it (used) there was a little problem with the rear plastic. On the right side, there is a metal bar that connects the plastic to the body. On the plastic that goes into the matal bar is busted. Idk if anyone else has the same problem so if anybody does please tell me and if you know how to fix it tell me how.

If the plastic is broke there's not much you can do. Best way is to see if you can find some way to zip-tie it, otherwise you'll need some new plastic.
