Ranking the top bikes

Hey everyone,

Let's see what people would rank to be the all time baddest bikes ever made! The range is from the 80's up till now and you can go with 3-5 bikes as your list.

It's open to arguments and opinions too so let's keep it nice

1. banshee classic
2.yfz first to be a 450
3.400ex just cuz it kinda kept the sport going
4.250r cuz it was ahead of its time
5.raptor 660 just cuz i own 1 and i cant think of any others

1. Cannondale moto - the first race ready bike with aluminum frame and still the only, if they where still in bisinuess id own one


2. 250r- Obviously started everything, and is still trying to be matched


3. 450R - Because i have one, lol and i love the thing, and there winning all types of titles


4.Aftermarket hybrids - what started the 4 stroke racing scene, and the geo of 250R


5. LTR450 - IMO suzuki tryed to find a match between the cdale and the 250R, they did a good job too, after all the bugs are worked out they'll be even better, and i think the LTR will force honda and suzuki to widen there bikes from the factory as well:cool:

idk what is with everyone and the 450r

in STOCK from the yfz will walk all over it, in handling and alittle in power. I'm not just saying that because i have a yfz but i have riden both hard in stock form and i can push the yfz harder

Boy the raptors and 450r's... hell me and my pops walk all over them;
Mind you we have number 1 & 2 bikes on my list too ( the trikes)
Not into the whole jump and racing we are stretched out for trails and straight runs :D

3. Hyrbrids brought 4 strokes to the show

4. Cannondale Moto - first (race ready) quad

5. YFZ 450 - first succesful race ready quad

But Seriously,
#2- Tie---350rx hybrid/400ex...first influential 4-strokes
#3- Other hybrids, primarily the crf450 250r based ones
#4- Yfz450---first production 450
#5- Banshee---ahead of the cannondale because the banshee made such a long and successful run. I don't believe the cannondales can be mentioned in the top 5 simply because they didn't last long enough. They are still very advanced, but that doesn't count if they can't even stay in production. They are/were just never practical.

#1 Cannondale - Reason: First for alot of things. 1st 450 (almost) first EFI. First Aluminum frame. blah blah blah. Too bad the ATV worls wasn't ready for them cuz they are really good machines

1. 250r's.. Hand's down probaly one of the best quad's ever made and still to this day copied..

2. 400ex.. kinda the stepping stone into bringing the sportquads back

3. Banshee- Mainly for lasting as long as it has and just the idea that yamaha had when they threw their street bike motor into a atv, I'm sure if the EPA wasn't cracking down yamaha would still be selling them in the US

4.. Old 250r/350x hybrids- Basically the first hybrids that were ever made and you can almost say the stepping stones for the new hybrid's we have today :)

5.. Suzuki ltr... Mainly because it's a MX ready stock atv and not go overboard and make them 10 plus G's..
