Guys,

Looking for what I should offer for a 2006 YZF450 with less than 5 hours on it. It was purchased new about 3 months ago and the new owner does not have time to ride. It is bone stock with no aftermarket bolt-ons. Blue in color. I would like to make an offer today. Let me know what you think.

Also, anything special I should look for to verify that it has less than 5 hours on it. Any known problems with '06's?

I don't know about Florida, but that bike would sell for around $5,000 in Nor Cal. Look at the tires and see how much wear and just look the quad over in general, with 5 hours, it should be in just about new cond. You could take the VIN to a yamaha dealer and see if there is any open recalls.

the two loose bolts under the starter gear on the 06s

you could go to the dealer with the vin # and see when it was purchased .and like the other guys said look it over .look at the side cases for wear ,and the tires should be like new,ask how many times he has changed the oil so far ......look at the bottom of the a arms for the paint wearing off ,the skid plate to be beat up ........just look it over good cause chances are he has more than 5 hours on it .in ny you can get them for 5200 brand new so look it over good and make sure you give him or her a used price .make dure you can transfer the warrenty .......

Wow.... Down here a brand new '07 YFZ goes for $7,000... On that site it says $95 dollar freight charge, does that mean they will ship it? Sorry if that's a dumb question. Anyone know of a shop located within about 300 miles of Salt Lake City, Utah that sells for about $5500 new. 2005 or up
