hmf to Yoshimura

well ive been thinking of getting a Yoshimura exhuast...right now im running the full hmf but find it not much to impress me...wat do u guys and gals think of the switch?

maybe a sparks because sparks shows a little more gains over the yoshi.

I don't know what kind of mods you have in the engine but I felt the same way you do. I had the full before my rebuild but after the piston and cam went in it was unreal the amount of power increase (torque especially) that was improved. I have heard great things with the Yoshi so I don't think you can go wrong either way. If you haven't modded yet hold off on a new system, just my .02

Even if the yoshi system did give significant performance gains over the HMF (which it probably doesn't) it probably wouldn't be worth the $400. I have a yoshi full system right now, dont get me wrong its great but from what I have read about HMF they also make an awesome exhaust too. IMO you should spend your money on head work, a high comp piston, or maybe a higher comp bore kit.

if you are into drag racing the sparks is slightly better than a full hmf. the hmf may produce a little more power at low rpms though. i would not get a yosh myself. i do not think they are any better than the hmf myself.

off topic but whats better on a 250ex? a full yoshi/ a full HMF / or a full system sparks X-4 on the 250ex?:confused: :confused: :(

keep the HMF.. buy a rev box and/or a cam to take advantage of your full exhaust..

i would say sparks but ive had both yoshi and hmf....yoshi seemed better

ive had yosh and hmf both full sys on my bike i like the yosh better but thats just my opinion
