well i was out trying to get to my one way starter clutch. i pulled the clutch cover off and spun it over and saw that the starter was spiinign fine and it was obviously something behind the clutch causing the motor not to turn over. i put two clutch pack bolts back in and put a screwdriver in there to hold the clutch from turning while i broke the main nut loose. i snapped one of points that stick out that the springs go over would it be cheaper to buy a new clutch? thanks

That's your inner hub or some call it the clutch boss. You can buy that part without replacing anything else in the clutch. The part number is 22120-HP1-670. Should be able to find one for around $50.

next time you need to remove it, you can make a inexpensive tool by riveting 1 old fiber to 1 old metal plate. it works really good.
