I think I'm going to buy one for my daughter. It's $500, and it runs and rides. She's 6 and she can reach all the controls. She's been on my 240 Blaster for over a year now, and she does good, but she's never rode by herself.

Are E-Ton's relatively reliable? I can do my own mechanical work, but I don't want something I'll have to work on every weekend.

Any suggestions are appreciated

If she can ride your blaster fine now get something more than a 50. She'l grow out of it real fast. Try a 90.

She never rode without me on the back. I usually just let her steer and control the gas. I don't know how she'll do on her own with something bigger.

I have a 2 year old son that will take over the 50 when she's done, so it won't be unused for a few years.

Actually, I was hoping to hear more about E-Ton's reliability and quality.

My Son was 5 when we got him a 50 and he had no riding experience.
Within about a year and a half he was ready for more power.. He is 9 now and has a 90 and 116 stroker motor and rides it like this . :macho

BTW.... they are very reliable :) You coudl always add a 70 kit to the mini as well, that kit is FAST for a 70! We have had it too!! :)

I think you and her both would be happier with a 90, she will get more time on it .a 50 will only get you so far without putting another motor in it later on. a pipe and clutch kit will give it alot more "get up" too.but if you were wanting a quad to pass down to the wee one, then I guess its mainly just what YOU want ;)

I guess alot depends on how ready you feel she is for the quad of choice too. Not all kids are the same size or level rider.

My boy was 7 I think when I bought him his E-ton lighting 50, and over a couple years we made it a full auto-mod. 70 that would beat the 90 auto-mods. I did all the work myself, Hetricks did my porting. We ran the 50 auto mod. class then moved up with a 70 kit. You can find all kinds of used stuff out there and it doesn't cost that much to make one fast. Just remember suspension as well. We even installed 90cc tranny gears. It will be an excellent Quad for that price. Just check it over good, usually they hold up well, hopefully it is clean. Wish you were in NY I have a 05' 90cc Viper I would take $1100.00 for. If you buy a bigger one just govern it down, to make it slower until she is ready.

Good Luck!

Yes sir you can't go wrong with the E-TON. My son has raced them for the last three years now. This is the end of his second year in the 70's man do they fly. And to make it a 70 you can buy all bolt on stuff and do it your self. Try Cory at KOOL KIDS ATV. He's been very good to me.

He did great this year I'am very proud of him, check out his web page

I showed Kyle what I posted, and he said hey what about the up hill double at High Point ? I said sorry buddy I'll get it on for ya. (he's so proud of this one) He tryed it every lap and sorta cased it once and cleared the yellow stick the rest of the laps, he still talks about it.

I lost my pics of him clearing 45 ft table, Im going to have to try and find it, but I have a video of my kids racing that wk end so it gives you and Idea.
I love to watch them race but DANG..... They scare the heck out of there ole Mom!! :o :p
