It's in the shop now getting a sparks TT cam, Dassa exhaust, K&N air with dasa mod, and jetting. I have a couple of questions. I will be doing 85% of my ridding in the dunes.

1. Is this a good setup for the dunes?

2. All the people I ride with will be on YFZ,s W/ cam mod,
pipe and air filter. Will I be able to keep up.(with everything other then bikes beign the same.)

3. What should I do next? I was thinking porting would be a nice Xmas gift.

You don't have the motor mods that would benefit a port and polish right now. If I were you I'd go with a higher compression piston before I touched the head.

*Note: I don't think a port and polish would be worthless with what you have, but in order for the full benefit of a port and polish, the motor needs to be built. Atleast on the '04/'05 models this is true.

1. Thats setup is just fine for the dunes. Do you have a set of paddles yet?

2. You'll be keeping up just fine! For sure!

3. I would hold off on the port and polish till you need/want a new piston. I would look into extended a-arms and shock re-valves.

PM me if you want specifics.

I will definitely hold off on the porting THX.

I should be getting my paddles in the mail on Monday I got sandstars.

Suspension will be getting replaced soon.
+2 arms are being built now
I was still looking into shocks.
Will a re-valve work well with +2 arms?
With most of my riding being dunes I was thinking
that the re-valves might be a good cheap way to go.

I hope your right and I will be able to keep up with the YFZ’s.
I’m getting a lot of crap for not buying one, they say I have know chance of
beating one up the hill. We’ll see on Thursday . :D
